I'm trying to render some masks for post processing, but have a little problem. Here's what i do: switch both GI solvers to none, turn off all light sources, assign CoronaMtl with black diffuse to all objects that should render black, assign CoronaLightMtl with "emit light" off and BW texture in Color slot to objects that needs to be masked. Set Colour Mapping as follows: exp - 0, high compr - 1, contr - 1, WB - 6500. Hit render and expect whites to be precise white, but that's not exact case. See attachment. What i'm doing wrong?

You need a legacy version of Corona, but i don't now if it's available for C4D. You'll have to wait for dev's respond.

Those cutted out tips are caused by random scale in General Parameters. That's the way Hair&Fur geometry works, i'm affraid.

I've encountered NAN/INF pixels with sep 12 build. Didn't do anything fancy, just played with SSS material. At some point NAN pixels occur and from there on, it was impossible to get rid of it. I've tried to override basic material, changed lighting, even hide all geometry, but those pixels remained. Eventually i saved scene under different name, restarted max, opened that same scene and NAN's were gone. I've tried hard to make to show them back, but no luck.

Try to run that scene with assert build, and let it go on for at least half an hour. :)

Make sure you chose hair as geometry in vray as well, when you do comparison. In my experience, Corona renders Hair&Fur exactly the same as in MR or scanline (as geometry). And your example looks expected.

Yes, there is. Rendering>Enviroment>Effects>Hair&Fur>Hair rendering options>Hairs - Geometry.  Hair&Fur will be translated to geometry at render time and will render with Corona.

There is. Add CoronaCameraMod to your camera and choose override type - spherical.

I think #1 has a little bit more uniform noise, so it seems like less noisy. But i'm very tolerant to noise, so for me, difference is almost imperceptible.

To keep things organized I'd like to know if there's going to be a feature that you can (un)subscribe to certain posts\topics. I'm always using the "Show unread posts since last visit" and now alot of C4D users have jumped on board that I don't have anything to do with since MAX is my workfield. Is there a way I can exclude some specific topics?

Of course I'm interested in the development of Corona for C4D, so don't get me wrong here on that point :)

There is notify button in each topic as well as forum section. So if you'll press it in C4D section, it should act as subscription.
