I'd use smaller viewport for interactive though. You can always zoom in to what you need to see, but using quarter viewport instead of half one will give you double rendering speed, translating into double feedback speed ;)
Sure, but with such simple scene, it renders quick enough and i rather have bigger preview size than cleaner image.

hrisek >> i'm constantly checking your blog - it's full of useful things. Your generosity worth great respect!

borisquezada >> that's really good idea. I'll definitely give it a try. Thanks!

Meanwhile, i'm playing with interactive rendering. I couldn't imagine it'll prove to be sooo useful thing. Painting vertex colours and in real time see final result, is such incredible experience!

So to sum up how I see it - gaining knowledge takes time. Time is money. I see a disturbing trend of giving real kowledge for free - ergo you people give someone your money, future money.
I dont mind giving DIRECTIONS, but people (in generall) please stop serving your knowledge on a silver dish to others.
Stop being Mother Teresa of CG and open your eyes.

I am curious what others think about this.....
I can tell you what i think about this. I think that this is most pathetic thing i've read in a while. I just can't believe how selfish some people can be. It makes me so angry, that i want to do something... i think i'm gona write some tutorials.

If you increase samples in Vray, it will takes longer to produce final result, right? So why do you think Corona should act opposite?
Think about that: if you decrease LSM, direct light will gets less samples with each pass, so renderer will calculate more passes in the same amount of time. More passes means that indirect and AA will be more clean

Compare not for passes but for time and you'll see difference.

Noticed that IR quite often has problems with updating some maps, especially deeper nested ones. Don't know if it's worth reporting?

I like new IOR handling - very straightforward to use and predictable results!

Is it me or.. I never succeded in maknig work the displacement for my character in corona using the displacement option in the corona mtl... the mesh get hole.. and when I play with the water level it desappears..etc .. only problem.. I tried everything.. never work..  is bugged  ??
That's the way water level works. I found this quite strange at first, but now i think it is logical - if you don't want geometry to be cutted away, you should use texmap clamping instead.

Tried to achieve wet look. I think a few hanging water drops would be very helpful for that, but can't figure out how to approach this without too much work.
