Any news on this? Thanks.

At present, any implementation we could do would be quite limited - for example, animation would not be supported (but that's exactly when you might want cloud/network/farm rendering). This means it would be quite a bit of development time, for something not very useful to you as a user. We'll see how that changes in the future, but that's where things are for now. Hope that helps clarify the situation!

It does. Thank you.

There will be no support for Chaos Cloud Rendering

Hi Tom,

Why not? If I may ask.

I prefer FFD just because I can leave it in the stack.

There's also this modifier that is very useful:

https://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/transform-mesh

But as romullus said, it would be proper to use xform to "normalize" the scale of the object. For small trasnforms it doesn't matter but at one point the object may not render properly because of the scale issue

Effort?
Floor generator is very easy to use.
I use it on EVERY interior project.
But I bought this because it was unstable in some cases:

[Max] I need help! / Re: banding in the sky using Corona Sky
« on: 2024-03-22, 17:04:39 »
Hi, can you check if you get any different results using 3ds Max Native sun and Sky and rendering with scanline render? If you are getting any different results in the previous version of Corona or using different sky models, feel free to let me know, and we can investigate it further.

Meanwhile, to remove any banding effect you can follow this article.

https://www.rene-algesheimer.com/get-rid-of-banding-2/

It happens with Scanline and 3ds Max Native sun and Sky too.
With Corona, if you save in TIFF 16 bit, it's almost imperceptible.

Are you sure DOF is not on?

Am I the only one who would like to draw hand free the region zone?
Is it possible to implement?

Thank you,
Manuel
Since you're bringing this up, it would be great to be able to mark the region in either the viewport or the VFB, not just the VFB.

But yes, a freehand region selection wouldn't be bad if not hard to implement.

could we PLEASE add a function to FLIP the image horizontally - just to refresh the eyes to look at the render from a new perspective.
+1

We are happy to hear that!

Feel free to share good working examples of great caustics as well.

Well, here's just a crop. I can't post the full image.

I tried with shapemap and works really well, no jagged edges or anything like that, but renders much slower than coronaDistance.

I just wanted to say that. They are working really well.
So fast and very accurate.
Thanks!

Hi.

A minor bug it seems.

Scene attached.
Video below.

On scene open and until I plug something else into the material, I get the message "===== Warning(22) =====
A normal map appears to be using input image with incorrect gamma. This can cause shading artifacts.
Map with the problem: "Map #2138799162"

As you can see on the video, the message is not related to the normal map itself, and it goes away after plugging in the only slot that was not plugged in.

Why on earth don't scripts' creators publish on scriptspot is something I don't underrstand.

The ScriptSpot admin has not registered new accounts for 3 years, does not answer questions and it is impossible to write to support if you are not registered. Colleagues registered there also wrote to him, but he does not answer them either. Why on earth ScriptSpot admin does not register new accounts and does not answer his own users is something I don't understand.

I didn't know this. Too bad. We need a new place for scripts then.
