It would be great if you could send us that slow scene, or any other scene where the problem appears. We could then check if we are experiencing the same problems on our PCs, otherwise it could be something on your side, and we might attempt to fix it.

As far as I understand Max becomes slow when you are using CSCatter + any other object, is that correct?
Is this happening even with "empty" CSCatter objects, or only if something is actually scattered?

The interior are Dinesen Douglas hardwood. You can now download them from their website (not the best quality,... you need to do some hacks and tweaks in PS.
Can you post the 1.3 and 1.4 times difference ? Did you try it with 1.3 in your PC too ?1. about 10 times faster.
Does Corona write something like 'runnin low on memory' ? If not than the memory is ok.
Bitmap paging/proxy can be turned on/off (should be always off) from Render settings first tab, or from Asset tracking.
About bitmap paging disabling. Open render setup>common tab. Look if bitmap paging is disabled (1), if not, press on setup (2) and uncheck page large images to disk option (3). When you'll do that, save scene and reload it. See if it helps.My settings. Is it ok?
