Hello Corona team,

It would be very handy to have the option in the corona-converter to switch from metal materials to non-metal (or the inverse) on the fly.
(as Corona  7 converter tends sometimes to do the conversion in unexpected ways.)

Thx

Here is a script that does this globally, for all scene materials (so please be careful with it).
A version working only on the selected materials and/or having this in the Converter would make sense, so we will log it, thanks.

Any update on the convert selected feature? I just converted a whole scene of assets, and half the materials have metal materials when none should.

There's an option in the converter for a while for Metalness where you can force it to never set a material to Metal, for those situations where many materials are converting incorrectly. Unfortunately due to the original materials having physically incorrect settings, the converter may never be able to know for sure what was meant to be metal and what was not, and whether or not things can be improved there is this setting in the converter in the meantime to ensure scenes where many materials are coming in wrong can avoid the problem (leaving you to only set those things that are metal to metal afterward, which should be less work at least!)
