Final still frame of an animation i worked on for a local brewery. this rendered over lunch time at 3k but was clean around 25mins, final animation times where about 7mins per frame at 720p
would have posted it here if i was not too shy about how i animated it

Anyways can't wait for the interactive renderer for setting up lights for shots like these

also does anyone know how to get better AA on a alpha channel, the edges are not so smooth

Set internal res. multiplier to 2, increase highlight compression a bit, and if compositing in post, on different background, then make sure to render against black background to avoid fringes. That also means disabling direct visibility of the light sources.

Thanks will try that, but what was the reason again for setting internal res. multiplier to 1 by default again
