Volumetric scaterring
Hello,
I use Volumetric scattering,
on simple volumes work but on an extruded curve I don't have the same result
I have a transparent result with dark edges but on an extruded curve, everything is dark
Thank you for you help

Re: Volumetric scaterring
Did you check if the normals are facing in the right direction, i.e. outwards, not inwards?

Re: Volumetric scaterring
The easiest way is to add
normal
modifier to the object and make sure that
flip normals
is checked on.

Re: Volumetric scaterring
As Romullus said, this might be a normal problem, but could it be that the object has overlapping faces? Maybe the spline it was extruded from has multiple splines all in the same place?

Re: Volumetric scaterring
I guess it's either flipped normals or the object elements are not welded (some unwelded faces).

Re: Volumetric scaterring
I found thanks. I only had one face. My extruded shape was not closed...
Thank you because thanks to you I tried a lot of manipulation on my shape and not on the texture.
Thanks for your help :D

Re: Volumetric scaterring
The Shell modifier could be also useful here (it turns one-sided geometry into solid geometry by adding thickness).
