Wow! First image is superb! But in second, there is way to big dof and it hurts realism badly.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

Wow, great renderizing, I enjoyed!

About the DOF - I think such explicit DOF is typical for macro shots so it is realistic.

I actually think displacement could be either not that strong, or use some high-fidelity 32bit map. It is only thing that distracts me there :)

maru, if these bugs are lifelike size, then no camera in the world would be able to capture such deep Depth Of Field.

Nice render. I want to see this snail with movement :)
You even add small black doth on snail tentacles:) great. Good observer.
