Hair is not supported, yet? (geo only)

So my questions are:
1. Is 'hair' planned to be rendered sometime in the future?
2. If so, do you know if you will integrate something like Marschner shader or make your own solution?

Basically, what are your plans for "Hair" since i haven't seen any mentioning on the road map (or ever)?

I believe Max users will be happy also ;)

Hair planned for 2nd half of 2016.
The shader will be some kind of Marschner model (all today's hair shaders are some variants of that).
I think we'll start off with alshaders hair.

Hey Jarda, it's nice to hear that hair rendering is coming to Corona soon. Does 3ds max version will get it too?

Cant seem to see it on road map for version 1.5 here https://trello.com/b/EfPE4kPx/corona-road-map-3ds-max.
Is it planned for 1.5 or later then?

Thanks

Looking forward to the Marschner Hair shader! One of the few components missing to be a full production renderer.

That and perhaps motion blur support for deformation and alembic caches. Other than that I think it's really great and a lot more stable now.

Once any kind of hair support will be planned, it will be definitely announced on the forum and on the dev roadmap here:
https://trello.com/b/dgI8vjDb/corona-road-map-cinema-4d

It obviously does make sense to remind about this feature request from time to time.
