I need to batch convert a few thousand of assets.
When I run corona converter, there is no script output.
How can I use the corona converter to do the work for me? It's an insane amount of work for handwork.
Is the corona converter open-source/on git somewhere? How can I access it & configure & run it?

Ok as far as I can tell original author released source, but since Corona picked it up is no longer open source?! Why, ffs. Why is it not open so people can use it on bigger projects ?!

Hey

How can I save a render using maxscript?
I want to control
Format / exr/jpg/etc
Layering - layeredEXR/singleEXR
Etc etc

Any ideas?
                       

I tried with  rt.rendOutputFilename = path but that does not work?

Is it possible to get pure caustic pass out of it?

I dont want any diffuse light. Just Caustics. Maybe also refl/refr/ somehow too but mainly caustics. Is that doable?

I find corona being best at caustics and to be able to extract it to use with my images would mean I could actually use this render in production.

Reinstalling max is a bit of an issue on mirrored system. I'd rather to use it as a last resort.

Ok so I noticed that during installation I was not asked to input license. When I try to render localy from slave it says it needs license. How can I manually input license? Maybe DR crashes because there is no license...

Heya

So I got few problems. But lets start from main one and its basically one of nodes dont start to render. Each node is pretty much mirror of one another so they all should work. 4/5 computers work 1, Has issues and dont render. How can I troubleshoot that?

DR sorted. Caustics still sort off looks epic but I want some info regarding settings. I just need caustic pass nothing else.

Heya

I read that there's coming a better version of it. Atm I'm trying Coronas Bildir/VMC but so far I'm failing to get satisfying results. Could some1 post a simple scene with proper settings or explain a bit more how to get it to look good? I have 5x5k render I'd like to try it on with lots of glass.

Also how do I start DR ? I got 6 computers to render 1 image.

Yea works.

Its worth mentioning that that error pops up on 3ds max start. Not when I render. I cant even start max :(
