Hello,

i don't really understand proxy, so if anyone can answer my question, please :)

i have a lot of chairs, hundreds. the chairs are already placed, and are identical, but i need to optimize the scene because it's too heavy. my questions is, how should i use proxy to do that?

1. should i select all the chairs that are in the scene, export them as a multiple proxy, delete all  the objects and than place it as a corona proxy?
2 or should i export one chair, as a proxy, delete the object, and than replace manually every geometry chair, with a clone of the original proxy?

i think both way are possible, but i don't know which one is correct. If anyone can help me with this, i thank you ! :)

#2. export one chair as a proxy and use instances of that proxy to populate your scene. If you already have chair objects scattered in scene and don't want to manually replace it by proxies, you can use substitute modifier for that. Select all chair objects add substitute modifier and pick a proxy as a substitute.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.
