Thanks guys. Lightning is pretty simple. Just HDR mixed with Sun.

These 2 images were lit just with HDR.

Have you got any additional hidden black/white planes to cast/block shadows and light in preferred directions here?
I do like your approach to lighting.

I was never V-ray user and years back i was using only unbiased renderers where i learned to not use any "fakes". Projects i did in past never "forced" me to use any additional  lights because only thing i was looking for was photorealism in nautral way. So no, i never use planes /  lights in my interiors.

Most of them are HDRi + spot lights, like in real life. Im trying to keep my scenes simple.

can u explain how you combined hdri with corona sun? what were the settings like? i imagine u had to change some values in the sun and hdri to work correctly? where there any tips we should keep in mind when using such methods of lighting? what are the pros and cons of this method over just corona sun and sky combination... is it preferable? thanks

Absolutely wonderful renderings! The lighting is amazing! I like how you used the combo of HDRI and the sun. the scenes all look very cozy and inviting! Great work! Just incase I missed it somewhere, are these personal projects?

Awsome drafts! How do you make the bulbs? Light inside the glass bulb object or light material? Hdri only?

HDR+Sun as usual, bulbs are hipoly bulb models with LightMtl applied.

i would like to know if you reduced the intensity of the sun(to something like 0.05) to work with the hdri or you just played with the exposure controls to give the desired results....either way, which would be the most realistic approach? and would it work the same in exterior scenes as well?
