I have this issue, when I put my render on to BackBurnder it works fine until the Denoising, after the main denoising is done on the image its stuck on the file save. Making the 3ds max freeze forever, I just had my render stuck on that for whole 48h, then each time I restarted the frame.

So is there anything Im doing wrong?
just go bak to January 4th build dude. Every time there is a new build it it crashes things immediatly go back.

Thank you, but using Daily Build is not only for taking advantage of new features but also reporting and checking. It turns out that my node needed an update because I used a new feature. After update on both denoiser and 3ds max all works fine.

I got the crash in the VFB with today's daily build when i hit 'Copy.'  Assuming this bug is still out there since I didn't see it in the changelog (and I just experienced it :) 

I created a mini dump using the process explorer from a frozen instance of max.  It's about 650mb...is that what you're looking for?  Seems to be too big for the standard reporting page, assuming the uploader is the way to go?

EDIT:  Just had the same crash when trying to save a jpeg out of the IPR VFB.

Hi Daniel,

Can you tell me which version of Max are you using, and if you are using any 3rd party plugins?

Secondly, you can use the alternative uploader which is at the bottom of the page here: https://corona-renderer.com/upload to upload larger files to us.

The difference is where their hands overlap. In V3 it creates artifacts. In V4 it works as expected.

It turns out that I'm still experiencing that "Cleanup/denoise" problem that I mentioned earlier.

If I send my work to Backburner it does not save and get hung on the denoising.

I also noticed this installing my daily.

We are also aware of the issue with the freezing on the cleanup/denoising. A workaround at the moment seems to be to switch away from the "post" tab, or to disable bloom and glare.

Please let me know if switching away from the post tab helps.

Our development team are looking into these issues currently.

Edit:

From what I have tested It randomly launches while Bloom Glare/Post is on. While when I turned off the Bloom/Glare it pretty much saves normally.

Windows 10, Max 2016.  I have forest pack and a few others installed, but this is a super simple scene with nothing special (just modeling a wall sconce.)  Just tried to upload the minidump using that uploader, I hope it went through.

Hi guys - on the latest corona daily after a render is done and starts the 'cleaning up' process, it doesnt complete it and MAX freezes.
anyone else having this issue?

From what I have tested It randomly launches while Bloom Glare/Post is on.

I have been tracking it down to the simple fact that the progress bar is visible/active/drawn. It seems to be enough to switch away from the post tab of cVFB to avoid it. Not sure what happens when using BB, never had the problem there (like others). The reason is most probably because we run BB server as windows service, so no graphical items are displayed when rendering on nodes.

@shortcirkuit We are aware of this issue and looking into it. My post above describes a workaround for it. As Frood mentioned a workaround at the moment is to switch away from the post tab in the VFB.
