Post by: Nekrobul on 2016-03-01, 09:52:28
I was slepless this night (again) so i decided to create this concept of the building.

Those are still little draft but i think they are worth to be be hanged in the gallery.

PS - more to come and C&C are very welcome.

Really nice work!
I like that you put in the streetlights for a bit more realism. But i would at least half the amount of them. If you see 3-4 on one picture the impact is enough.

That's really good. So are you saying that you created this from scratch during one night?

Yup, we (with my wife) came home at 23 00 and at 0600 i went to take a nap and at 0930 i already was at office.

Things become much easier when you struck by inspiration.

Aw i forgot to mention the building it self is no just a shell it contains flats inside 4 per floor and i plan to make a building brakedown\slice animation when 1.4 comes out (or earlier if i will finish the design first)

UPD - One more image.

Further plans

1 - Tile whole living block 22 buildings.

2 - Presentation animation

3 - Brakedown animation

4 - Shenematic\otrhogrphic views something that could fit in to infographics.

5 - Logo and branding

These are great.

I like the realistic and natural looking lighting and planting. Did you try many hdris before
you found the right one or Corona sun and sky?

There are atleast 10 i use all the time depending on the situation. And the collors i need to get. Mosly it is Noemotion HDRS because of the extreme resolution and absolutly no need to use backplate image.

I am using them too and it is necessary to use corona sun (or different light source) with them to get that sharp shadow sunny atmosphere

Tileable model, nice concept. Could the tiles vary, like a multimap?

With instance id why not.

To rafpug

I don,t care much on memory consumption in exterior scenes. Usualy 16-32 gb of RAM is enough to handle any scene in if it is done and optimised properly.
