Title: Corona Image Editor 7 - Slow responsiveness
Post by: Alex Darby on 2021-07-29, 08:07:35
Hi,

We have notice the new version of Corona Image editor is a lot more laggy and lacks the responsiveness the previous version had.
Even with Denoise, Sharpen & Bloom off.
The light mix is only 6 layers.

It's a real step back from previous version worked great.

Hi,

Thank you for reporting this issue. I am able to reproduce this on my end. I have logged this issue in our system and looking forward to getting it fixed in the later versions of Corona.

Meanwhile, a workaround for you is that you can download the old Corona 6 installer & unpack its files and you can use the old Corona 6 CIE.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Avi

Hello,
Is this fixed in Corona 7? Is there a hotfix?

EDIT: Could you give more details on how to use the old CIE please?

For using the old CIE - as said above, fire up the installer and choose unpack to a location of your choice. Look for Corona Image Editor in that folder and use that one instead of the installed (v7) one.

Oh! Ok. The way I unpacked it was using 7Zip to unzip it. Didn't know there was an unpack option in the installer. Thanks!
