Sharing a script to update displacement while IR is running. Using this macro/button, the scene is not entirely parsed again as it is now required when changing the view. Useful in heavy scenes.

Corona 7+ required.

Thanks for this! In my opinion, displacement should be recalculated every time you click on the "Refresh" button of the corona VFB, which I have yet to understand its purpose.

The refresh button is in fact on my personal list of features to discard. Background: you may set the refresh interval in system setup to a large number, default is 1 second. Then you could use that button to manually transfer data to the VFB. It applies only to regular rendering, not IR. I think no one is using it like this.
