Plywood boards are also multiplex boards, a wooden board composite, where the upper/final layer gives the look and is called a veneer ;) There are also many different types of multiplex boards, depends on what are used for.

Just ask a client what look & feel they prefer. Know what kind of wood is used for those fronts, who produces them and where the veneer comes from (if you want to be precise). From quick look at your examples, there are few different sorts of wood used (beech, ash, cherry, maple, apple,...).

Note
- no two woods have exactly the same texture.
- different furbishing changes the appearance & tonality (oil, wax, shellack, acrylic, acidic....)

Just go for the feel.

Tried all possible setting combinations, all show bad results.

Q:
Is your surface sibdivided or is it one infinite plane?
What settings you have on the grout & bevel? (note: cinema shader behaves strange with extra-low values or 0 bevel :)

Using latest daily standalone with blender.

Vignette in VFB is working, tho control is limited.
Only Intensity is exposed.
No Falloff & Offset XY, although possible & working fine with blender exporter.
Would be nice if exposed in VFB since it's essentially done in post.

Well, thats how cinema behaves other translation tools
use selection tool while selecting, navigating & moving area around in the viewport

the advantage of stacking materials comes with the ability to mix regardless of mapping (every material/tag can use different projection, UV)
