I know this topic came up many times before but searching the forum now I simply dont see the correct way to create an Alpha behind a glass object.

Is there any way to do it?
I have created a mask pass and tried the object selected as well as the material ID. Is there a way I can create alpha masks behind glass?

We will have to wait for my C4D colleagues, but in 3ds Max this is currently impossible, and will be possible in the upcoming versions - https://trello.com/b/EfPE4kPx/corona-road-map-3ds-max
I am sure that if this isn't possible to do in C4D either, it will be implemented together or right after the 3ds Max version update.

It's exactly as you wrote, maru! We will add it soon after it has been implemented for Max ;-)
