No, I want a normal image excluded from Tone Mapping. I use it as a background for my render.

Step by step:
- Create plane
- Create Light Material, disable Emit light
- Texture -> Corona Tonemap Control -> image
- Apply Light Material to plane
- Change saturation or contrast in VFB
- Render

Light Material doesn't change exposure now but is still affected if I change saturation or contrast.(Which in my opinion should not)
I want the image just the same as it is in Photoshop, without any changes in term of exposure or saturation.

I'm aware that I need to restart.
Exposure is working as expected but I can't change saturation because it would affect my background too..

Hi

Corona Tonemap Control isn't working for me as I would expect.

The ground has a light material with corona Tonemap control applied. If I change as example saturation, everything is affected.

Can someone confirm that or give me a hint what I'm doing wrong?

Just from top of my head... I don't think this works at all as you would like, since decal is just a texture used by material/shader.

A bypass//
So to create yourself a solo decal pass for masking in post, disable all scene lighting and just apply light material to decal (or any matter you want to have mask made for) then render it out.
Could also make a Take, if you're not sure about the camera position and mess as little as possible in the future.

I didn't think about that. But it sounds logical what you explained. Nevertheless it could be a feature request :)

It looks like a bug. Material stacking seems to be a problem. It doesn't work for me too.

If I change the mirror gloss to 0.99 or lower, the reflections are not working as expected. Just see. The blurry glass material becomes clear and the background visible.

... One thing that would also really be helpful for this often used operation is to have separate map previews in the viewport. Say you want to scale one of the bump maps differently, if you can have instant bitmap preview in the viewport that is incredibly helpful because IR can be slow in heavy scenes. 3ds Max has this solved natively by having a button that simply isolates that bitmap in the viewport and shows it properly mapped on a mesh. Since the Viewport in C4D is hard to access via the SDK I reckon this probably isn't a priority but I guess it would be nice to keep it mind for when it does get "open" :)

Bump channel doesn't work with Render Instances in the latest daily. See example.

Same in Hotfix 2. And only in IR.

Hi

I just found another bug which isn't reported yet, if I'm right.

Vertex-Map shader isn't working together with a Triplanar shader inside of a Layer. It works as expected, if I deactivate the Triplanar shader.
