What was the scene called that you uploaded? I'll see if I can find it and have a look.

the scene is working now without those tag's. It would be great if the problem can be resolved but I am able to work again so no need to waste time on it now.

Just out of interest.... working on another scene also with these tags don't crash at all. This is really confusing me TBH

I think the problem with my scene was related to instance vault.
It added some coffee expression tags to my instanced items. once I deleted those tags it renders again

In case someone else have the same issue.... :)

i have removed the plugins and it still crashes. Other scenes work without a problem so something is causing the crashes in this project. I have also merged all items into a new scene but still random crashes.  I cannot replicate them, therefore i have uploaded the scene. Maybe they can debug it.

Houska, thanks for the quick reply.

I went back to the previous build and it also crashed.... then I remembered I have also installed "instance vault" the same time as the new beta.
I have removed the plugin and it seems to be rendering fine again.

I didn't expect an instance plugin to cause render problems but without it is seems to render fine.

EDIT:SORRY...after a reboot it crashes again. I am uploading the scene so you can have a look, I don't think it is caused by the plugin

Corona keep crashing for me in the lastest build, on scenes that rendered perfect in the previous build.
Is there somewhere I can upload a scene for you guys? Unfortunately it needs to stay confidential and is quite big.

Unchecking visible directly works for me in the final render. It hides as it should.

if you go filter > lights, c4d lights will be hidden from the viewport but corona lights will remain in the viewport.
Is there another way to hide them from the viewport?
You can always hide it by turning the visibility to red.
sure, but having 80 or 100 lights in the scene can be a pain to switch all on and off. using the filter is an excellent way to show them while tweaking lights and hiding when done

Used Corona Light, type is object an shape is sphere, visible directly is disable.
Anyway to hide that light sphere....?

Uo mean in render or in viewport?
Maybe a reflection or refraction is making it visible in the render? Try disabling those too.

I would like to know how to make them not visible in the viewport, if I may hack this thread

I am just not sure if I am doing something wrong at the moment.

Attached herewith a screen grab. I have spots in the floor that need to wash on the timber frames, but the furniture block the light.
I have "excluded" the seating on the lights but still they render a shadow

in other packages you can give maps a percentage to use. In c4d some you can but not all.
What is the best way to do it where it is not by default? To use a layered material?
For instance if I add a glossiness map under reflection, I don't have a mix strength.

1.) This is strange, it should work... So you have an object as a parent of a Corona light and then you instance the object? Is it render instance or not? Render instances of lights are not supported even in C4D itself, so their support in Corona might be limited.
2.) You need to distribute all the plugins to clients too.
3.) You are right, denoiser for TR will be added later.

1. You are right, they are render instances. It works perfectly in the Corona VFB but not with teamrender.
I am new to corona and C4D. not having render instances will have a huge impact on memory in render time, right?
So the better workflow will be to keep using render instances but duplicate my lights independently, right?
2. I just tested LOD again and it works, not sure why my previous tests popped up with errors. Sorry about this.

I find a few limitations using teamrender. Would it be possible to add support for these in the future? Please.

1. When a light is "nested" under an object and you instance that, the instanced light will render with corona VFB but teamrender ignore them.
2. LOD does not work, I get a plugin error on the client machines.
3. Denoiser (I think there is a note somewhere it will be added if I recall correctly)

I loaded the demo for LWCAD. It seems like the interactive renderer goes into a weird loop or something ("parsing geometry note keep flashing at the bottom) when I try and render one of the objects while rendering to picture viewer works fine.
Is there anything I can do to use the plugin? Converting the objects to C4d objects solve the problem though.
