[C4D] General Discussion / images saved from cxr files
« on: 2018-11-27, 11:43:07 »
If I save out all files directly when the scene is rendered, the mat ID will be different colors compared to saving out the cxr file, open that in the image editor and then save out the pass.
Is there a way to get them the same? Looks like a gamma difference or something.

[C4D] General Discussion / Render huge images
« on: 2018-11-07, 17:28:44 »
Hi Guys, I need to deliver an image so the client can wrap a building with it.
They need it 60m x 18m. I know the resolution can be lower than usual but how do I approach this size render in C4D/ Corona?

[C4D] Resolved Bugs / projection map in node editor
« on: 2018-10-29, 13:57:00 »
I am not able to connect a projector map to a layer via the node editor. Please see blue line on the attached screen grab

Never mind...was probably just a small hiccup somewhere...after adding one inside the layer material I could drag and connect nodes again as I want to...

Does corona have a clipper similar to vray?
Is so, where do I find it?

[Max] I need help! / Light setup Principles
« on: 2018-07-16, 13:52:06 »
Hi Guys, I need some advice on a scene setup please.
Usually I do interiors, with a lot of mood. So the light setup is fairly easy, I add a light for each light fitting and tweak the intensity/ color to get the effect I need.

I now need to do a super bright/ white mood. Please see attached sample.
What is the easiest/ best way to achieve this?

Adding a super bright sky outside overexpose the area around the window but still fairly dark in the rest of the room?
Ideally, I don't want the exterior to overexposeeither, we still need to see the landscape in the view (I know it might need to be cheated)

[C4D] General Discussion / exclude from light
« on: 2018-05-06, 18:53:56 »
Is the exclude function working or still a WIP?
I am just not sure if I am doing something wrong at the moment.

Attached herewith a screen grab. I have spots in the floor that need to wash on the timber frames, but the furniture block the light.
I have "excluded" the seating on the lights but still they render a shadow

[C4D] General Discussion / c4d/ Corona material question
« on: 2018-04-28, 11:21:49 »
in other packages you can give maps a percentage to use. In c4d some you can but not all.
What is the best way to do it where it is not by default? To use a layered material?
For instance if I add a glossiness map under reflection, I don't have a mix strength.

[C4D] General Discussion / Teamrender limitations
« on: 2018-03-21, 08:11:55 »
I find a few limitations using teamrender. Would it be possible to add support for these in the future? Please.

1. When a light is "nested" under an object and you instance that, the instanced light will render with corona VFB but teamrender ignore them.
2. LOD does not work, I get a plugin error on the client machines.
3. Denoiser (I think there is a note somewhere it will be added if I recall correctly)

[C4D] General Discussion / LWCAD and interactive rendering
« on: 2018-02-19, 07:25:48 »
I loaded the demo for LWCAD. It seems like the interactive renderer goes into a weird loop or something ("parsing geometry note keep flashing at the bottom) when I try and render one of the objects while rendering to picture viewer works fine.
Is there anything I can do to use the plugin? Converting the objects to C4d objects solve the problem though.

[C4D] General Discussion / Alpha per material
« on: 2018-02-16, 12:36:21 »
Hi Guys

I am new to c4d/ corona coming from modo/ vray. In modo we can add an alpha channel per material.
It works really nice in post to just have all the alpha's per material. Is this possible in corona?
