But they have taken everything for granted and forget about the millions of poor souls who takes their work to their life and life to their work. They don't have weekends or vacations. They are the ones who struggles to keep their work and life balanced. Done with 3dsmax & Corona

Decals are used for road.

Nice work! The people fit in quite nicely. My only question is why not use texture randomizer on the cobbles?

Thanks, There wasn't uv randomizer 3 years ago. :)

[Max] Feature Requests / Reflection preview on Viewport
« on: 2020-12-15, 06:50:12 »
Here is the comparison b/n default max physical material and Corona material in viewport.

It will be nice to have viewport preview (reflections) in high quality mode. Latest max  even supports bloom.

For those who argue about the use case, some projects we don't even render due to time restrictions and last minute changes. We use viewport previews.
So far we have been creating 2 scene files, one with max physical material setup for previews and one with corona for rendering if needed.
It will be really helpful if Corona have an option of high quality preview in viewports or at least a button to turn it on/off.

[Max] Resolved Feature Requests / Decals like Unreal
« on: 2020-05-17, 11:44:15 »
I have been playing with unreal engine and found the way it add decals is amazing. you just drag and drop dirts, pot holes etc.. to the surface and place.
Is this something that can be developed by corona team or the max team have to do this?
some thing like this

Very cool image. Looks like a lot of work.

Noise not really cleaning up ( especially in darker areas ) is also what I experience and already asked the devs about that.
At low nose levels like 3% I would expect less noise in corners of rooms, etc.

Thanks. I never had noise problem. with HDRI I get no noise at all. I think it is because this scene have a lot of reflection/refraction/SSS going on. (see attached)

Another thing is caustics. It breathes a whole new life into the scene. Unfortunately, it was messing with juice objects. I had to rerender each one 2 times, one regular and one for just caustics render element.

Have you seen "The Platform" movie? It's on Netflix. ;)

That looks like dark version of the feast. :D

Have a seat, eat all you can..
Done with Max & Corona 6.

There might be some noise in the images - Rendering was going on forever and never clearing up.

[Max] I need help! / Caustics issue - liquid in glass
« on: 2020-05-10, 10:45:22 »
Hi

I have tried the caustics solver in the V6 daily build. But it is giving me the following issue. See attached

Liquid (Orange juice here) is turning dark when refractive caustics for glass is turned on,

Any workarounds?

Thanks
