Well, using matlibs is a good start I guess.

uhm...what are those presets supposed to do? (i mean, what would be the benefit over a normal matlib?) Or is this meant as a kind of "standard materials" like chrome, plastics, glass etc?

I guess it's like the mr/fr presets in arch & des - not a bad idea, but again what is wrong with mat library? We could just all chuck a few shaders in the mixing pot and save the library?

Just tell me what kind of materials you would like to see, and once i get some free time i will create and share matlib.
