Hi guys,
when will you implement chaos cloud render to Corona for C4D?
Greetings Wolfgang

This is a 3ds Max roadmap, but it wouldn't make sense to get this feature in 3ds Max but not in Cinema 4D, so the answer is: in Corona 11 at the earliest (not in Corona 10).

Hi Maru,
this is very unfortunate. I guess that means no Chaos Cloud Render service until 2024 or maybe 2025. Correct?
Sad greetings, Wolfgang

Corona 11 is planned for Q4 this year, so if Cloud Rendering makes it in to that version, that's still 2023 :)

"Corona 11 is planned for Q4 this year"
thats very good news!

"Version 11 in Q3"
Version 10 isn't even release yet. It's already May. How can you justify a full version release number in what, three months or less time? Seems like that should be v10.5. I don't understand your system. The numbers are going up faster than the big improvements are. I still love Corona, don't get me wrong, just doesn't sit right to me.

Well, I said Q4 not Q3 :)

It's usually 2 releases per year, in an alternating cycle (big release with new features, smaller maintenance release,...).

Whoops. So you did. I'll have to talk to my proofer. Six months still seems very short. I'll just keep rendering with my fingers crossed.
-
since corona v6 this worked quite amazing well i think (2 pretty nice updates per year)
-
Just feels like the maintenance release should be a X.5 When I look back at my time with Corona, I started with the Alpha version. That was in 2018. Five years to go from Alpha, Beta, Release Candidate, v1.....v10 soon.
Keep making it better, easier and faster than before and you won't hear any complaints.
Steve Austin Corona, astronaut Renderer. A man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him it. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world’s first bionic man real-world render engine. Steve Austin Corona will be that man engine. Better than he it was before. Better. Stronger. Faster.

I don't think that the irony is deserved, keep in mind that Corona for C4D has skipped quite a few numbers, simply because the team wanted to keep versioning in sync with Corona for 3ds Max, which is much older. It's also worth noting that "big release - maintenance release" cycle is more like a initial plan and not defining factor for the size of actual release. Quite often so called maintenance release ends up as feature rich as a big release if not more.
-
I know what you mean, except the Max version has always and continues to have more features than the C4D version. Not exactly parity. I don't remember the C4D version skipping any numbers along the way, just going fast to catch up with the marketing.

yes i also hope the scatter tools get par withthat on max.
from rest i think the features are quite same meanwhile, or which are you missing that are only max?
