Title: smoke rendering
Post by: Evine on 2023-03-22, 16:05:31
Just curious when will Corona support smoke simulation plugins like Turbulence FD?
BTW, how do you guys render smoke in C4D?

Hi, ''Pyro'' in 2023 is on our list. Currently, the best way is to export the sim as a .vdb sequence and use a link the pyro object to the Corona volume grid to render it. :)

What is Pyro, exactly?

Thx for your help. But BTW, how about us]ing volume mesher to generate a mesh for the vdb item, and apply a smoke material to it?

Could do it, but then you only get homogeneous dense volume.

It is possible to simply drag in a VDB file (static or animated) into C4D and you can then drop that into a Volume mesher and apply a Corona volume mat to it.

thats a nice cloud example, interesting you render it via the vol mesher. could you share it maybe?
