Hi all,

I'm thinking about finally buying a yearly subscription to AXYZ Anima for use of both still and animated scenes in 3ds max + Corona.

I've been using Humano 3d people for a year or two, but these aren't cutting it lately.

Just wondering if there is anyone out there with experience who can give me a little insight into the potential pitfalls, complications, considerations etc of such a workflow with Anima. I don't want to buy it and end up with a bunch of unforeseen problems in my workflow...

I also rely heavily on Pulze SM and RM for production, so this compatibility would also be handy to know about.

Looking for any pro's/con's and general advice. Much appreciated!

Not much to talk about. Good, stable simulation software. Best for crowds and not so good for closeups. Didn't try it in Pulze RM but it does show up as installed software. It's a sim software so it's kinda hard to make stuff looped. Their 4D humans are next level. You will not find much content about the software on youtube.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm mostly interested in the 4d people as I think they look great. The other sim/rigged people (walking along path, for instance) look pretty bad in my opinion... very hunched over, not natural at all.

I guess I still have to 'scatter' (aka place) the 4d people in the standalone software, right? Or can I directly place the 4d people into my scene?

The Anima software itself is mainly used for simulating on the geometry/landscape you import. But you also can import 3D people directly into max. With rigged 3D People you would loose tons of customization possiblities but since you are after the 4D people it should not be a problem.
