Can you make option for flip image horizontal inside vfb? Coming from redshift, they had keyboard shortcut option for flip image horizontal, flip vertical. Its great for checking image composition or to jump from eye getting used to watch bad composition.

It doesn't even had to have a button - just a keyboard shortcut? I doubt that would request too much code intervention but for me it would be huge deal.

Yup, this is amazing feature, I do this every few minutes in Photoshop to trick my mind into fresh evaluation.
I think it was requested bunch of times, not least by myself but hasn't been priority yet sadly :- ). It's one of those small ease of life of which there might be too many in pipeline perhaps.

No example needed really, it's just an option to flip the image, horizontally would be most useful (not sure vertical would be that helpful in most cases) - and yep, has been requested several times, we do have it logged :)

You're welcome! :)

Oh just so you know, "I doubt that would request too much code intervention" is actually incorrect, it would take a lot of code intervention. Can be surprising what seems simple from the outside, but can be complicated from the inside. While logged for future work, this does mean it won't be in Corona 9, just to keep expectations and hopes in check, sorry.

I never thought of that like its a big deal in render engine until I discovered that option in redshift. I found myself clicking constantly flip image horizontally while searching for the right frame, right angle etc.. Its important in photoshop, but in render engine while creating basic scene, i think its more important.

If i can save an image in vfb history, if i can do post processing over rendered image in VFB - how is so hard just to flip rendered image horizontally? Guys at redshift didn't even make a button for that in their VFB. So for them it was such a small intervention they didn't find it necessary to create a button for that in VFB. Its a shortcut (h). I find Corona to be better than Redshift in many aspects. You guys are bigger experts for architectural visualization - please find some time for this. You will save us from many junk images we create. Help us filter our junk image before photoshop.
You can think of it that its not important, but it is. Shift in perspective in our work is sometimes everything.
Nevermind. If you cant do it in next few versions, no problem.. I'll keep my expectations low. Or in this case - I'll have no expectations.

It is hard not because of UI (whether it is a button or hotkey) but because of how it would interplay with other things in the code, in this case such as the tone mapping. As I say, what looks easy from the outside may not be so easy once you are inside the code :) "Wait, how does this interfere with the tone mapping code?" you ask - well that's what I mean, unless you are a dev with access to the code, such things may not be obvious. BTW nothing here is about it not being important, but about it being "more complicated and time consuming to do than you are assuming" - which is why we have it logged for future work, as we understand people would find it useful.

I'd rather see arbitrary image scaling implemented in VFB first (then  scaling it to -1 on X should do it and so much more...).

Also, Camera scaling should be made possible.

But I suspect Cinema can't handle/doesn't allow offline renderers to do it, only OGL does it in full.

BTW, Cycles render engine can, so if anyone is using and can try it in Cinema to confirm or disprove my suspicion.

eg: Cyles "Camera flipping" in Blender
