The gamma of the image changes periodically (((

Hi, can you explain what exactly you are doing to reproduce this problem?

Is this happening with any rendering, or only in some specific scene?

Is this happening in regular rendering, or in distributed rendering, or what exactly is the situation?

Can you also check if the same thing happens if in Performance tab you switch from path tracking + uhd cache, to path tracing + path tracing?

Is it possible that some parts of the image look darker just because of dithering with the noise?

I had this issue too. Seems fairly random to me :/
