Title: Licensing in the Cloud

Is there any chance that licensing might at some point be able to be pointed to the Chaos website server? (rather than have to run a local instance). Just thinking out loud!

Guessing that would be considered a regression though :-)

You can point any computer to another computer where the Licenser Server is running - is this what you would like to do?

It's not the most user-friendly right now and we would like to improve it in the future.

That’s what I have done already - works fine.

Let me ask a different but related question - can I borrow a license from my central server? I don’t think I can - so I could take my laptop offsite to a client and be able to render?

I think the offline borrowing only works if you are running the license server on the same machine?
