Hi,
the daily build v9 crashes sadly are still in v9 final, which is a bit of pain. i have several per day, sometimes every few minutes in IPR.
where was the point to send the mini dump and bug report? i prepared a zip fro your devs and hope they can isolate the source of this and fix

Edit: alone 5x in last hour on an arch project. most time when i copy an object or instance, or camera, and then move it (with IPR on).

there is nothing written on a fix for this, do you think that had been solved? it seems lie an macos fix , i am on windows 10.
i cant really update now in middle of a project.

I have had times when I get many crashes (posted about that) when I use the Interactive Rendering or Viewport. Like Stefan, usually when drag-copy an object. Then, for no reason, it will run super stable for days on end. Right now, I'm on v9 release and I did have a day or two when I had crashes (no dumps or crash file) at first, but mostly I've been very stable since then.
Maybe it's because I'm not on an M1 yet. Still running a 2017 iMac Pro and Monterey.

We are still looking into it, we take all crashes very seriously and it will be dealt with. Sorry for the delay so far.

I actually use Cinema/Corona rather heavily in and outside of work hours. You'd be surprised at the size of some scenes we get and one's I make personally ;)

well ok, then i am happy for you
in any way i can assure you there is nothing what can surprise me in regard of size of scenes, "big size" is very relative;)
if you copy (ctrl dag in editor as this is often done in c4d) move cameras or instances etc for a while while ipr is on, i am sure also you would also get the crashes, at least if you use the same v9 or daily10 we all use. scenes are with cloners, scatter object, sky, hundreds of materials, cosmos parts etc
by the way, from customers perspective i think it doesn't help so much if you as corona support keep saying it doesnt crash for you.
we obviously would not report it and keep asking if the current v9 ipr crashing would not be real or dramatic.
you can also ask maxon, alone from me they got 100+ crash reports last days only, i assume from many others too.
if you work 10h and get 20+ crashes, regardless which pc you use, i would not call this normal (v8 was super stable),
i hope you understand why this makes unhappy. (i otherwise love corona render)

Hi Stefan, I can understand your frustration and can assure you it's being looked into. Things do get broken along the way which is no fun at all. I hear you. As for my comment, I'm sorry you took it that way but it was not my intention. I'm merely also replying as a user too. I hope to have more news for you soon :)

Obviously, statements like All or Everybody are not representative. How could they, when they come from a single person?
But we have 5 workstations here in the office and we all have the same problem. All Corona 9, C4D 2023.1
I honestly wonder how it would be possible that a crash never happens with you.
I can archive this, in minutes. A running IPR and some settings changed or just moved objects, new Keyframes, or whatever and it freezes.
Does this not happen to you?
