This is my number one wanted feature in Corona. It would be really useful.

I dont have release 10 yeat as I need to work with a renderfarm... but I seem to remember that adding a texture to a corona light is now possible? Could you add at texture and just increase the directionality to get a similar result?

Oh cool. Just for fun I ran it on my M2max MBP (5,761,541). And my old Threadripper 2950x (5,678,105).
Quite suprised that the MBP edged it!

You need to make the floor a ray-switch material. Have a look in the corona docs for more info: https://docs.chaos.com/display/CRC4D/Corona+Ray+Switch+Shader

I would encourage you to send complaints like this direct to Chaos. (As well as on the forum)

I know some devs and employees visit these forums - but I expect this sort of issue is a more structural problem with chaos management.

As the licencing has had various mis-steps since Corona merged with Chaos - it's work keeping mentioning this sort of stuff as directly as possible - as it can easily sour a persons view of an otherwise excellent product.

OK on my end too, I thought it may be an issue with the cloner set to multi-instance, but that's working fine.

If you need it for a closeup, I'd suggest making the simple pink glass without the speckles. Then have seperate geommetry without thickness for the speckled part sitting inside. (no refractaction, just the coloured shapes with SSS alpha masked.

I was making a cat recently, trying to use the diffuse colour in various slots of the hair material, but it always looked far too glossy - almost metallic.

I concur with Evan - the corona development is regular and reliable. Its easily the most pleasent and pleasing engine to work with IMHO.
If you would rather to use a game engine instead, there's nothing stopping you. Personally I dont think the user cases are the same - not for my work anyway

Should work with Team Render as per C4D standard. Not sure about the node situation these days - I think long-time users have more included but new users may have to pay for another. (Note to Corona team - 2 nodes should be the minimum in IMHO).

2990WX is a very capable CPU and should be much faster than the studio. But 32GB RAM is pretty low and could cause slowdowns in texture heavy scenes.

If possible use a wired connection between the machines.

I also have a mac and PC on my desk. Most look dev and concept work is done on the mac. But for more final stuff I just transfer it over and work completely on the PC.  Saves troubleshooting connections etc.

Only had a very quick look - but didnt see any screamingly obvious errors.
There's a lot of plastics with sss though. I wonder if it''s all necessary? (it will take quite a while to clean up.)

I'm sure I've used ths millions of times, but most recently render selected is not working as expected....
if I drag in an object from within a nested stack - for instance if i drag in 'label2' (see screengrab attached), then it just outputs a black render.

If i drag in the 'Bottle' group however, then it works just fine. 
Just started happening recently - but not sure what changed.

(include childern box is ticked)

Win10 pro, C4D R21. Corona 9.1.

I was watching a YT video by the excellent BlenderBob the other day - and he touched on something that has bugged me for quite a while.

When inserting bitmaps into a glosss/roughness/displacement texture - an extra step has to be taken to change the image profile fo linear. Surely as this almost ALWAYS is the case, it should be possible to make this the default profile for these steps?

See also extra steps adding Coronal normal node before a normal bitmap. Always needes to be done? Then node should be added by default.

Farms will definitely not support dalies. Best to save and send using an official release.
I only have limited experience with farms TBH - but I found Garagefarm.net pretty good when I needed something doing.
