Loads fine here, what version of C4D and Corona are you using?

EDIT also bear in mind you don't need to save to VDB and load back in any more, if using Corona 11 or newer.

We are checking this out :) In fact we just took delivery of a new super high core/thread count dual EPYC machine this week so that we can better investigate any reported issues along these lines.

Most welcome! And glad it resolved it for you :)

Ah unfortunately, things did not go to plan, some issues were uncovered, and the HF2 will now be out next Monday (if all goes to plan...). Sorry for the extra few days' wait!

Unfortunately moved to Mon next week, after the discovery of a few issues.

Sounds like either the Scene Environment in Scene settings in the Render Set up is not set to "3ds Max Settings (Environment tab)", or there is a Direct Visibility override enabled.

Preparing the 11 HF2 with 2025 compatibility is what is going on :) Should be out on Wed if all goes well (as in, actually out, not daily builds out).

23
Yep, combine those two answers and there you go :) It was aimed to be a streamlined subset of scattering type functionality, crafted for what would be useful in setting up archviz scenes, that did not require any additional purchase, where we have the control to ensure it always works with Corona (and V-Ray now of course) as both the Scatter and the render engine(s) update.

24
Most welcome! Keep your fingers crossed with us that all goes to plan lol :)

At present, any implementation we could do would be quite limited - for example, animation would not be supported (but that's exactly when you might want cloud/network/farm rendering). This means it would be quite a bit of development time, for something not very useful to you as a user. We'll see how that changes in the future, but that's where things are for now. Hope that helps clarify the situation!

The HF for Max 2025 is due out next Wed if all goes according to plan.

Build is going through QA. If all goes well, we hope to see this released sometime next week.

If by "all systems will be rendering in the office" you mean that there are 16 machines rendering in the office (all 11 main licenses, and 5 render nodes), then you will have no remaining licenses to use Corona elsewhere (technically, you will have 11 GUI licenses so you can see the Corona interface, but zero rendering licenses for IR or similar, even for rendering material previews).

EDIT probably the best bet is to get one more Render Node for the office, and that leaves 1 main license free and clear for use elsewhere :) Assuming you don't want to just remove one machine from rendering in the office of course.

You're welcome, discovered by personal experience hahah, always good to learn things the hard way ;) Let us know how you get on when you test it, to see if it helps make those improvements even more "improvey" ;)

As a thought, did you upscale the people before running AI on them? AI does not do well where faces and people are small in the image, and ensuring what you pass to it is at least 512 or 1024 (assuming SD vs SDXL) will help. That being for each extracted person. So basically, extract people separately, upscale them, run AI to improve them, downscale and paste back into original image?
