Hi Pikcells,

Nice renders, I like the soft lighting. Do you mind sharing how did you create the carpet? It looks very fluffy and super pleasant.

Best,
Lukasz

The carpet uses hair and fur, it's actually quite an old asset that we've reused so I couldn't track down which of our 3D artists created it originally to ask for more detail. I assume it uses similar steps to our photorealistic rug tutorial https://youtu.be/3zkZW36m3Zs

Sweet, thx for sharing!

Hi, I came across the same issue. I'd appreciate if you could fix that soon. In the current state it would require a lot of postproduction to make it usable, in some scenarios.
Nevertheless, possibilty of a cooperation between C4D Pyro system and Corona is great!

Lukasz

+1 from me. I'd love to see the possibility for mtl override exclusion option (preferably material based, like Vray). I'm just making concept visuals for the interior project and I would love to see it semi-overridden - all furniture white/clay and just floor/walls materials visible. To do so I have to remove all materials from the placed objects and leave them only on the floor - a lot of unnecessary work, would be  great to have a 'button' for it :)

cheers

[C4D] Daily Builds / Re: Why Is the New PBR Better?
« on: 2021-01-06, 19:20:28 »
I'm trying the new Physical Material in C4D. As far as I can see the reflection IOR is linked with the refraction. Is there a way to limit the amount of reflection, but don't change the refraction? It is a realistic situation as when you take a photo and use polarizing filters you can limit the amount of reflected light. Is it possible to achieve this with PBR material?

Best,
Lukasz

[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Bloom and Glare with Alpha

Just did a little "trick". Saved image with 'Bloom and Glare', and the second one without it. Then in PS I mixed layers with "Difference" option. That way I got a 'Bloom and Glare' pass. Now you just need to put it on top of an image without 'Bloom and Glare' as 'Linear Dodge (Add)'.

Cheers

2 render the old scence will crash.

I have the same problem. I also created new scene and copy/pasted whole content of an old scene (3 days ago it rendered OK on the previous version) and it still crashes. What can cause it?

edit: the scene renders when I remove all the materials...
