Hi there

I'm trying to build a fabric using Projector shader and Layer shader.

As you can see in the images below, the result looks correct on the viewport, but it renders erratically.

Zoom in/out shortcut is not woking in Node Material Editor.

I'm using

and the standard shortcut for zoom in/out does nothing (Alt+RMB or "2"+LMB).

I presume this is a really important navigation thing to have in a node material editor.

Is this a bug?

I presume this should be a very basic thing to have in a node material editor.

Hello guys

I'm building an eye and I need to blend 2 different materials, as you can see attached.
So, the cornea (lens in front of iris) needs 100% refraction and the sclera (white part) needs a nice SSS.

I know, it's possible to build this eye without blend 2 materials, but the result is not nice like I need, so this workflow looks accurate and should work.

I put SSS in base material slot and a glass material in slot 1 and mask with Amount=1.

It doesn't work.

Anyone has any idea how to make this work?

Hi guys

I'm struggling to use Interactive Render panel.
It's unstable a lot.

I'm trying to design a nice reflection on a lettering by deforming the front face of each letter with FFD deformer.

It's impossible to manipulate the points when IR is active. It crashes.

After spend some timetrying to identify the bug I have a few more details about the problem.

Corona crashes when we use together at least 3 deformers in a specific hierarchy, Projector shader in Reflection channel and SS with 3 subdivisions.

So, to see the crash, just open the scene, start IR and try to turn on all the deformers while IR is working.

I'll leave the scene attached here just in case someone else wants to test.

I'm struggling to figure out how to use the Multi-Pass in order to save a PSB with all the passes organized, separated in proper folders, like Masks, Composition, etc.

Have a look on the image attached to see how I am trying to organize my multi-pass, so you can have an idea about my intention.

Once the PSB file is saved, that structure is not respected inside the multipass file.
How to have the same structure from Multi-Pass window inside the PSB?

Hello guys

I'm trying to use Layered Material but I can't figure out why the "Amount" parameter is not working.

If I use 1, or 0 doesn't matter, nothing is gonna change unless I remove the mask.

When a mask is being used, is Amount parameter useless?

Is this a bug?

Hi guys

I'm really enjoying the IR, but sometimes it makes me frustrated because of some issues.
Now I'm working in a specific area in my scene and I want to use the Region feature in IR, for 2 reasons.
First to render faster because its a tiny area and I can see the results faster.
Second because I'm intended to compare with the latest version before every change I do in my shader, so I could see inside the region an updated version and outside the old version.
But this is not happening.

The outside is refreshing when I change something.

I'm using Beta 1 in C4D R18.

I can't see the displacement working.

Is the displacement working in a layered material?

I am using  Beta 1 (05/02/2018) and R18.

Hi guys,

Why does the Interactive Rendering has a resolution based on the Render Settings?

Should be independent, so I can leave my Render Settings with the final resolution, for example 4K x 2K, and use the Interactive Rendering with a lower resolution in order to be more productive.

Hi guys

EDIT: please see the project file attached

I'm working in a character with hair/fur and I'm experiencing a weird problem with Polygon Hair shader.
It's hard to explain so I'm attaching some images to show the problem.

I did 2 sets of render tests, the first using a standard Corona material with off-white color only. Everything works as expected.
Then I just applied another material with Polygon Hair shader in my Hair object. The result you can see, looks like there is a reflector bouncing the light on my model, and resulting in a wrong lighting and funny colorization.

I suppose this is a bug not hard to address a solution.
I'd be glad if it's possible to fix this so I can proceed with my project without issues.

Hi guys

I know there is no dedicated hair shader yet in Corona for Cinema 4D, and its possible to use native polygon hair and shader to modify the geometry but not the coloring.

I need to create a dog with color variation in it's hair like the example attached.

What's the best approach?
