Hello to everyone

i just saw this intresting news, and where is indicated that intel embree (which is base code of corona) is optimize to work on intel xepn phi..
So it is so complex code corona to work also on this card?
it will be much easier date a pci express card instead the whole workstation.

thank you for an answer.

[Max] Resolved Bugs / MULTILGIHT NOISE BUG IN 1.7 RC2
« on: 2017-09-30, 13:07:53 »
Hi to everyone ,

rendering a dark image there is a bug coming from the multi-light which i can try to describe as follow:

When i shot down emitting source i can still see the shape of the light on the wall from the difference of noise.
TO SEE IT YOU HAVE TO ZOOM AND CHECK ON THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF THE IMAGE  you can easy recognize the print of the ceiling spotlights.

Please see attached pictures

Hope to be usefull

[Max] I need help! / ALBEDO
« on: 2016-02-26, 19:26:37 »
Hi after watching the tutorial called basic mistake in corona, i started to search an Albedo material index to identify and put the correct amount.
I see in the forum that has been updated a albedo list but is slightly different from what is explained in the tutorial.
Could someone finally explain exactly how use the Albedo list and how to modify in the material editor.??

Hi I would like to have same suggest regarding the configuration of a small render farm.
At the moment I'm working on a 5960X workstation with 980Ti videocard that is more  then sufficient for modelling.
Going on redering (Architectural redering large scene) the workstation is fast but not possible to have any possibility of modelling in Interactive rendering mode.
So my idea is to introduce in the network node for rendering.
The question is:

1) can be used during iteractive redering?
2) they improve speed in static redering?
3) Gigabit network is adeguate or it's necessary to move to a 10GB network?

HI to everyone,

I would like to ask to have a serious explanation regarding possibility to use XEON PHI with Corona Render.
Actually i moved from Octane Render to Corona Render because i dident like the result of corona with artificial lith and the material system but the speed of rednering and the easy way to update the  hardware with GPU render it's mazing.
So Actually As i understud corona render is Embree based render so has to be easy to make it work on XEON PHI.
Let me know please because i'm plannning to set up a new rendering and modelling workstation and this will be a base of future configuration.

Best Regards

[Max] General Discussion / Re: Corona not using all cores ?
« on: 2014-11-14, 12:13:17 »
Good day to everyone,

I'm very confused with the update of my workstation (i posted i new subject just to collect suggestions) but one  question if you are using only one processor with HT on the software is using all CORE and Thread or not?

this because one my option was to set up a small workstation based on As Rock MB and install a 12 or 18 core XEON.

Hardware / DUAL XEON Vs small render farm node
« on: 2014-11-14, 10:26:17 »
Hi guys,

I'm ready to renew my workstation and now there is the big question:

Make a work station multifunctional (modeling & rendering station) or make a Modeling workstation supported by a 3/4 machine mini ITX with 2011-v3 i7 proc?

The main thing that i don't know exactly (i never use this kind of solution) is if it's possible to see the result on going like in a rendering workstation or i have to wait the end of the rendering process and then see the result through saved picture managed by backburner?
Will be working the interactive rendering or it will use only the CPU of the modeling workstation.

Any comment or suggest are appreciated.

Best Regards

Alberto

Hi everyone,

I'm proceeding to set up a new pc specially for Corona render.
I have 2 different solution :

1)  i7 v3 8 core
2)  xeon 2670 v2 10 core or 12core but with slower clock compare to the i7 v3
3) buy on abay a server to use as render "farm"

Any suggestion is appreciate.
