You're probably talking about projector map, as CoronaLight already has texmap slot. Quick search revealed Ondra's standpoint about projectors: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,340.msg2419.html#msg2419

That was two years ago, don't know if things changed since.

Probably your light is too dim. Try this: disable enviroment light, start render, adjust exposure until you see that your ligh is working. See? Now set everything back and increase intensity of your light, or reduce intensity of enviroment.

Probably not a best place to ask, but didn't want to create separate topic. Crop rendering mode isn't working with interactive. Can we expect this to be addressed in future? I find crop more convenient than region when doing localised test renders, due to much smaller VFB this mode requires.

Render elements renders fine with batch render. Most likely there are wrong paths in those render elements.

edit: IIRC, you have to leave paths blank in render elements when rendering with batch rendering. I may be wrong though.

I wonder then what the original issue was, as it came up quite few times. Creating decently large volume seemed like too obvious solution, so I thought that there would be some issue. Or is the issue only when looking up into surface ?

For such shot i would go traditional way, i.e. model water as big box and assign water material.

BTW, picture in your example is clearly a composite of two separate photographs ;]

Those are really nice tests!

For those who are obsessed with noise, this Altus thingy might be Godsend, but i always like small amount of noise in my images. For my highly untrained eye, noise equals details and big flat completely noise free areas looks very artificial. And still, i wait for Corona's adaptivity with big anticipation :]
