Enviro sampler - artifacts in lighting

Im getting weird looking squares on certain geometry when rendering - anyone got an idea what im looking at?...

Try to change enviro sampler in dev/debug rollout from normal dependant to something else and see if that helps.

Or it could be the "new light solver". Do you have it enabled? (at the top of the performance tab)

the new light solver I thought of as well, but this didn't do anything. Changing the enviro sampler did the trick though.

Is it possible to get a link to some reading about these things in Corona? I'm clicking buttons now I don't know what's behind them and it's kind of frustrating.. This is somewhat "under the hood" of the car-stuff  and i'm not sure where to read up on this?

Normally you shouldn't change anything that's in the dev/experimantal rollout, but currently default enviro sampler and new light solver are buggy and sometimes may manifest in various artifacts. After they will be fixed, there shouldn't be need to ever touch them.

The enviro sampler is something that should not be touched indeed, unless you are asked to do it (as in this case). It seems that we are dealing with some sort of bug here, so it would be best if you could upload this scene for us (or any other scene where this is happening) and let us know what's the file name: https://corona-renderer.com/upload
If you wish, you can also start a support ticket about this issue (https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new), however this is optional, as having it logged here on the forum is enough.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of the report. Another scene won't hurt though.
