What you wrote above were my sentiments exactly – about an interior light material and about Vray.   I think waiting for this plug-in has already taken up too much time in my life. It made other SketchUp plugins seem poor in comparison and now I feel like I'm in limbo.  Vray is the most obvious alternative, but that seems like going backwards somehow.  I really don't know where to turn.

Just had a mailer announcing Vray Next - hybrid GPU + CPU integration with much faster rendering speeds. Unfortunately not going to be implemented for Vray for Sketchup yet. I wonder if this has anything to do with the merger recently?
