Someone else may be able to help more than me. But something I usually do is choose a new export path, and delete the .scn file and sometimes it helps with some issues

When you've restarted, what happens when you click on "check textures" (or whatever the button is called). Does it say the HDRI is missing?

there is basically a grounds-up reboot of Corona standalone happening now. It will take some time to have something usable and public, and the file format will change a bit (so the exporter will ahve to be updated). But as a reward, there will be interactive rendering and some other features

I was wondering if this has made any progress? I'm seeing some amazing stuff by Octane, and have seen that even Vray has a dedicated Blender build too!

Exactly this. Especially if I want to develop a quick draft render for a client, the older denoiser gave quicker results

Jumping into this topic.. I'm using Corona Standalone with Version 3 and I too have terrible noise levels on my bump maps. Even if I go to 2% noise, some areas still look terribly noisy.

Has this been fixed? Which version should I download?

Is there a way to adjust how much I want the noise level to be affected by bump maps?

I had a similar issue but rayswitch is absolutely the way to go. Just keep the direct slot empty :)

Yey this works!! This is such an amazing feature!

I decimated the original bed to have a reference object at only 20k faces. And used the original bed as the external object and it renders in seconds and in full poly!

Yeah the .mtlindex was exported with the .mtl and .cgeo file.

And I think I ticked binary mesh export. I'll need to check when i get back home though

Yeah, so I opened the original .blend file for the bed and then exported it as a proxy into a folder I named "proxy"
Then in the new blend file I created a basic box which i linked to the newly created proxy file.

This is how it renders as a proxy (proxypic.png), and this is how it should look https://imeshh.com/product/bed-with-big-knit-blanket/

Do I need to export the proxy object to the same folder as the textures folder? or pack the textures?

Sorry and I had no errors when exporting

Hey,

Just started exploring this now too. I opened a high poly bed file and exported it as a proxy with a the object and .mtl file.
I opened a new .blend file and made a cube and attached the bed proxy to it, however the materials are all incorrect. I was wondering if thats just something to do with the .mtl file or if its possible to keep textures and full materials applied to the proxy?

Hey,

Just got 8.0.33 and saw there is a new option under the Add-on settings called "Use Material Preview" and it asks to open a specific folder. What folder should I put in there?
