I have https://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/RAMPAGE_IV_FORMULA/specifications/ mobo.
Currently i have 12gb ram 3x4gb. One dimm is broken, before had 16gb. All is running in triple channel.
I am going to buy additional 2x8gb (other type). Can i run 2x4gb + 2x8gb in duall channel or smth on this x79 mobo?

In what way is the dimm broken.?  just curious..is it actually cracked or just not registering the ram in the slot.

In Rhino how do you create those surfaces ? Do you draw lines a sphere and trim the rest, or is splines project ?
Do you mean the spheres in the background?
 i actually modeled in rhino some flat section then used the splop command to mash the flat section onto a
sphere shape.
- The bike the shell skin is zbrush the rest internals is just basic shapes in rhino.

Tried sss sort of texture...very very long render.
 model was with plain backround  ..so i threw a background on in PS.

Thanks,i will post the totally finished one as this is just the massing/blocked version but thought it
kind of looked cool.
Will add all the technical proper hoses and nuts and bolts soon enough i guess.
I was looking for a studio scene to put it in but i think just a  workbench scene with some furistic tools laying around
might be better.

I already suggested this... to synchronize file names.
I think it was rejected.
dammit-Maxwell render does this.

ps.
As for moms ..try shutting off the oven when she has something cooking, see how she likes it.

If this is possible i thank you.
Could we get some automatic synchronizing of
 hdcache  (*.hdc)
 and autosave (*.exr)  filenames, preferably linked to the main render output image filename and location?
-basically i would prefer everything to end up in the same spot with the same referenced filenames.

example.
g:\Quant.tga
g:\Quant.exr
g:\Quant.hdc

Just a heads up.
If anyone has any solid info why a plugin would do this to opengl  would be very much appreciated,and i will pass it along.

I can confirm this,for me disabling the vray 2.0 plugin resulted in a 3x speedup of opengl performance on gtx 580/3gb
