May I ask what lighting you're using? It looks like a sun is coming from behind but then there is a bright light on the front too? It looks great though

May I ask what lighting you are using? Is this jsut an overcast HDRI?
What sort of blur/sharpening settings are you using?

This has blown me away. The animation is breathtaking!

Absolutely love Corona. I use Vray when i work in a studio around the corner, and still love to come back to Corona. If it was fully integrated into Blender I'd be willing to pay for sure.

And on that note, i've been paying for 3 years and have been quite active here over the years. I also sell models that work with Cycles and Corona for Blender so I'm quite invested haha. I just know Corona is the leader and if Corona can get in there just like Octane (which is kicking off big time in Blender), then it could become the Arch-Vis Go-To engine for Blender

Hey everyone

If you're looking to get into Corona for Blender and are looking for some assets, we have just released a bundle pack for as cheap as we possibly can. This pack is for $2.99 - You will receive 80 tokens. This is equivalent to $160 when buying products individually from our store! Roughly a 98% discount

I sincerely hope this gives people more reasons to stay inside during this Covid19 crisis.

May I ask what size your renders were and what your sharpening/blurring values were?
This is really inspirational! I love this type of art, which is rarely used in Arch-vis

This is great to see :D

Do let me know when it's in a more public state and we would love to make some iMeshh tutorial videos about how it works!

Corona itself has some great material guides. It has the same main node so you can easily translate them into Corona for Blender

Really beautiful! Great job!
I love the kitchen and especially that close up shot of the table with the lamp!

May I ask what lighting techniques you used? Area lights with HDR? I'd love to achieve something like this

Ah, so I thought that there were licensing constraints in editing the standalone to work with Blender currently, because that would mean the code for Corona Standalone would need to be made freely available? I thought that's why Vray and Octane made their own version of Blender because of this too?

I believe for interactive rendering Corona will need to make their own modified version of Blender which talks directly with the Standalone Corona, like Vray - https://www.chaosgroup.com/vray/blender & Octane - https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=72241

But I think that will be a long way off happening. Having it work with 2.8 would be amazing still though

You should go to here and download COrona 3 and Corona 1.6
https://corona-renderer.com/download/old

Under addon preferences, you should enter the location of the installed Corona.exe for Corona 3, and then for the material preview set it up with Corona 1.6. Material preview doesnt work with Corona 3 just yet so thats the workaround.

Use that with the latest version of the corona addon and you shouldn't have a problem getting it to work

Sorry yes to clarify these are all assets made by me and a partner.

You can use them in personal and commercial projects for visualisation purposes, just do not redistribute them. They can be shared with someone else if you need to share a 3D project for work, just make sure the iMeshh asset is labelled with iMeshh.com somewhere.

Hey everyone,

I've got a website offering tons of freebies for Blender with Corona. Including an asset manager which works with Corona too :). (including HDR support)

Feel free to check it out!

As a side note, congratz to Blender for getting funding from Ubisoft and Epic games. Really cool to see Ubisoft using Blender as its primary software in some of its studios. Its slowly becoming industry standard. HINT HINT Corona team ;)

Corona Standalone / Re: Caustic for Standalone
« on: 2019-07-10, 15:01:48 »
There was one developer helping make Blender work with Corona. However he was doing this off his own back and completely for free which is amazing! I can't commend him enough for what he has done.
However, he has been unable to support the addon for the last few months which is completely fair. He has a life too of course.

Corona are not willing to support the Blender addon themselves... Even though renderers like Octane and Vray do have good support and come with with preview rendering.

So no, Caustics is not working with Blender and not in the foreseeable future.
