That thing looks really cool, but it badly needs some interesting materials and textures.

Zbrush?

It's quite interesting model indeed. Materials will definitely add some depth to it, but I guess this kind of look was intended?

intended yes.
zbrush and rhino.
is just the shell but i like it, i need something more translucent sss'y sort of to show some internals.
