Hi there, could you please try disabling any firewall/anti-virus software, then run the installer again and complete the installation process?
Please let us know the outcome.
Kind regards.

Hi there @wasfrans
As said before, there's no need to use all of the RAM installed in your computer unless it is necessary.
By necessary, I mean if your scene has a lot of geometry, has a lot of materials applied to objects, textures are very memory-expensive, etc.
And as @Tom said, "If RAM maxes out, then you can run into crashes and slowdowns" or any other unexpected behavior.
It is always best to have your scene project organized and, most importantly, optimized; I mean, using rendering instances, low and high poly objects (depending on the distance from the camera), keeping materials setup as simple as possible, etc.
I hope this helps.

Hi there,
Did you try disabling any Firewall or anti-virus software?
If not, try disabling them, then try again. (a reboot may be required in some cases)
Cheers

[C4D] I need help! / Re: Mutishader on new Tile shader
« on: 2023-12-11, 23:38:27 »
Hi there @lamfadel,
I've tried reproducing the issue you reported; however, everything seems to be working as expected.
If you're using the UVW mode, then a viewport update will be possible; otherwise, when using the Object or World mode, I'll suggest using the IR.
I hope this helps.
You can find more details about the Tile shader in our documentation portal at Corona Tile Shader - Documentation portal

Hi there,
Have you tried using the IR (Interactive Rendering) instead of only using the viewport?
Cheers.

Hi there @lamfadel,
Could you please provide screenshots of your material setup?
Otherwise, it will be tough to understand your setup.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards.

Hi @MicroTosti Studio,
Could you please try using the Tile shader inside of a Filter shader?
I mean like this:
Material->Bump->Filter->Tile shader
Please let us know the outcome.
Kind regards.

Hi @tiglat_agora,
Thank you for reporting this.
Is this happening on a specific scene, or is it happening every single time, regardless if the scene is full of objects or empty?
Could you please share your scene project with us?
You can use the Uploader link on my signature.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Kind regards.

Hi theremte
Thank you for posting this.
According to your image, you're providing only 7 different textures to feed up the material; am I correct?
As @pokoy already mentioned, at some point, the same textures will appear again as the shader places each one of the provided textures; it will run out of textures and will start over, placing them in a different location.
If you need a more solid randomization, I'll suggest using more textures to feed up the shader/material.
I hope this helps.
If this is not what you were trying to communicate, please let us know.
Have an amazing weekend ahead.

[C4D] Bug Reporting / Re: Tag composting issue?
« on: 2023-11-07, 06:00:24 »
Hi @masterzone

I'm sorry for the late reply.
After looking at your test scene and understanding your workflow, here are my findings:
-For cases like this one, where you want to use a backplate (plane + a Corona light material) to mimic a background outdoors, you're correct by choosing to use a light material that will be applied to the plane object; however, I'll suggest disabling the "emit light" checkbox from the Corona light material instead of disabling the "cast shadows" checkbox from the Corona compositing tag.
I'm including a modified version of your scene file so you can test it and experiment with it.
I hope this helps.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards.

Hi @Matthew86,
Thanks for your reply.
As mentioned before, this was reported to the devs.
They investigated this, but they need to find a different approach for this as there are some limitations regarding how lighting from Corona Sun is being calculated and the workflow you're trying to implement. (and this might take some additional time as it is not some simple fixing as it sounds)
A workaround for this would be...
If you're rendering an interior scene, you can use the "Direct visibility" override in the Render Settings -> Scene environment section to load a background image using a Corona Light material.
You can load the Corona Light material there, set the Mapping mode to "Frontal" and then fine-tune the image's position and scaling using the Offset and Scale parameters.
I hope this helps.
Please let me know the outcome.

[C4D] I need help! / Re: Resize VFB Mac OS
« on: 2023-10-24, 08:50:34 »

Hi @smckenzie,
Thanks for your reply.
If I understood correctly, what you're trying to achieve is to resize the VFB's window to make it even smaller than its minimal default. Am I correct?
If so, please consider that the VFB has a fixed minimal UI size that cannot be modified and is set like that to ensure VFB tools display correctly. You can resize it to a bigger size.
If you want, you can use the built-in C4D's Picture Viewer window instead; this way, you'll be able to resize it according to your needs (see reference image) while still adjusting Corona parameters.
I hope this helps.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi @smckenzie,
Thanks for contacting us.
Could you please elaborate a little bit more about the issue?
Where did you set the "maximum size" in Corona preferences?
What is your display resolution (W x H in pixels)?
What is your image output size?
What are you trying to achieve?
Please include as much info as possible (including screenshots) to illustrate the issue so that we can provide a more accurate solution/suggestion.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards.

Hi @davetwo,
Could you please let me know what is your Corona version and if you're using any texture maps?
I've tried reproducing this, but all 5 materials assigned to the layered material in my test scene were just copied (I've only copied the layered material to a fresh new scene)
If possible, you can share your scene project with us (please include all necessary assets), so that way we can investigate further.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards.
