It happens here too, but in my case it leaves unconnected Corona normal node. I thought it's by design. Anyway, that doesn't bother me too much.

Ok I see what you mean, you can always open the attached .ms file and you will see it at the top. No these are not new, its always been like that. Ill just put it below the macro anyway so if you redownload 1.9 now it should be there for you.

That's strange, if i drop the script on the viewport, Max reads the script from the folder i dropped it, but as soon as i restart the Max, it reads the script from usermacros folder, where the script file has no versioning in its filename and its content is modified by stripping away the portion that is marked in your screenshot. I think that what i was wanted to say when i asked if it's possible to move top comment section below "macroscript" line. Maybe i'm doing something wrong and there's more correct way to install macroscripts, other than simply drag and dropping them to the viewport?

Yes, i'm doing it like you described, but i can't see the section that is marked in your screenshot, only what's below it. Even if i go to the folder where macroscript is located and open it in notepad, there is no that text. Is this a new lines that have been added to 1.9 version? I think i'm currently using 1.8

Hi James,

I had simple Corona physical material where Corona normal was plugged into both bump and clearcoat bump slots, after conversion i got Autodesk physical material where normal bump node was plugged into bump slot and Corona normal node was plugged into coating bump slot (see attachment). Could you fix this please?

Wouldn't it be simpler and more effective to go with cylindrical mapping instead of Corona decal?

To be honest i don't even know what to say about that. I see old material editor as ancient completely obsolete tool. I'm struggling to understand why it's still so appealing to many artists. And yes, i'm working only in slate editor, haven't touch old editor even once since i switched.

When hide unused nodeslots is activated, an output handle is missing in Corona maps that were enhanced with multiple inputs / outputs. That makes work in slate editor unnecessarily frustrating.

You have also have 5 minutes time limit. When there's multiple limit conditions set, the render ends with the first limit reached.

What is standard surface? Is it some third-party material plugin, or maybe you're talking about Autodesk's standard (legacy) material? In case it's the latter, you can use 3ds Max's scene converter to convert from standard (legacy) to Autodesk physical, then use this script to convert from Autodesk physical to Corona physical.

Try to increase ray directionality, it should help with unwanted "spillage". You may also want to decrease quality, too high value will only make your render slower, but will not produce any better result, although it has nothing to do with this specific issue.

Not that i tried too many times, but i think horizon line was never worked for me in Corona camera. Maybe it's unsupported feature?

Might be useful to upload the scene in case the problem is reproducible. If there is compatibility issue with third-party plugin, especially as important as FP, devs would likely want to look at it. Ah k, must be capped at 100 then.

I did do a quick test, I put a spiral of 2,000 mirrors, sides/roof/etc. Not one of them turned black. Are you sure you dont have something black in the scene where its leaking through such as a black background? Can you try set your environment to 100% white and see if its the same? Just a thought, you could be entirely right since I dont have same angles you do.

It's not environment, it's exit color. You can find it in dev/experimental rollout. You can change it from black to any colour you like, but it's solid colour and might not help much in scenarios like described in this topic. I had submitted request to replace exit colour by environment many years ago, unfortunately it was rejected by the devs.
