If you know a bit of python and blender then I am working on a branch for Blender 2.80

Looks like Blender has change considerably the way that the original blender nodes was written.  Need help identifying the changes required and help in migrating all the nodes.

There is from the blender corona link in the footer and many fine people over the years have contributed, however this is only a hobby so I don't expect anything :)

Hey I am working on the 2.80 compatible version but it is slow going. Not sure how long until it is ready. I have objects rendering from 2.80 but there are no node based materials working.

I am still working on the exporter in my spare time, trying to update it to work with 2.80. it has talked 40-50 hours so far with possibly another 50 and that will just be to get it working as it was for 2.79

I still need changes from standalone to fix material previews and to make preview rendering possible.

Hi Graggy,

Particles have to be written out to disk and then read back by Corona, hair/grass etc all have to be exported as a mesh.  Creating a "bunch" of grass then replicating that would speed it up dramatically as the bunch gets written out as a mesh then a new instance of that same mesh is used.  I am hoping once the changes for blender 2.80 and their upgrade to python 3.6+ will improve speed by 10-20% but not the 10x speedup you would actually notice :)

If you can raise separate issues in bitbucket with example .blend files or screenshots for each of the issues below it would help track them through to being done.  Thanks

The materials are different I try to convert some of the cycles nodes to corona nodes automatically but the nodes aren't the same and I can't reconstruct the intention of the cycles nodes in corona automatically.

So it is a manual process. You can have both node trees in the same material though.

It is there to add additional configuration to the generated corona.config. Some people use it to configure features of corona that aren't available in the plugin.  Usually you can ignore this.

That error means the corona executable couldn't be found or it doesn't have permissions .

Looks like you aren't running the latest version either? 8.0.49 I believe is the latest which might help you with this.

the .cfg and .scn files are just text open them in a text editor and look for the lines with the error and delete them.

Alternatively export a new version from the .blend file

The .conf file that is with the .scn likely has options that have been removed in corona 3 find the lines that cause the error and remove them

Wait till I sort out the 2.8 stuff it will require a rewrite of much of the code anyway to more of a standard python.
