Hi, I want to get som help on a setup I am thinking of. I work as a 3D artist and web developer, and want to be able to work from home also.

I am used to work on Apple computers, so this PC world is a bit confusing to me.

Is this a good option?

Laptop
Razer Blade Advanced (2021) - 15,6" | i7 | 64 GB DDR4 | 2TB M.2 | RTX 3080 | QHD
Windows 10 Pro Eng 64 bit

Render Node
Motherboard ASRock TRX40 CREATOR
CPU AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X
CPU Cooling Fractal Design Celsius S24 240mm
Chassis Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact Svart Solid
HDD 1TB Samsung 860 QVO m.2
RAM Kingston Fury 64GB (2x32GB)
GPU ASUS GeForce GT 1030 2GB
PSU Corsair HX 750W Platinum
Windows 10 Pro Eng 64 bit

Do I get "live" feedback in the PictureViewer when rendering on TeamRender in Cinema 4D?

When I work from home I could use VPN to access the Render Node. And is there a good solution for adding render farm also, as easy as TeamRender, or shoudl I buy two nodes?

Price and performance wise I think you are better off with 1x3990x then with 2x3960x. I might be wrong do some research since prices tend to vary from country to country. You can call it with the U14S stock or you can put an Ice giant and clock it to 3.7ghz all core and get even more performance out of it (on the cheap). If you want to run PBO all day on the 3990x you will need a waterloop but consider that it will cost 3x times over the ice giant cooler.
