Can anyone confirm my issues with displacement artifacts (See attached image)... I am struggling even with large resolution displacement map (4K x 4K pixels) . I am running out idea on trying to resolve this issues. Hoping I could get some help. I have also included zipped file "Corona"  of teapot along with map (4k x 4x pixels). Let me know.

set project size to 0.5 and max subd per poly to 200-400
Corona - the best rendering solution!

Great!  Thank you very much Polymax... I knew it had to do something with subdivs.. Duly noted and its all good!

Same problem here but I'm think this must be fixed. Vray displacement works much better even with low setups.
I also trying to rise displacement options in corona but the artifacts are still there. Very high setups causing slooooow rendering or even crash corona in higher resolution.

I hope this will be fixed.

Have you tried tesselating your geometry with subdivide or quadrify mesh modifiers?

Yes, but I think it's not depend on polycount. I have same artifacts on low poly mesh or mesh with 100 000 polys.
Only displacmeent projected size parameter can improve quality but values below .5 pixels causing long render times or even crash like I said.

Robertus... I just learned. If You are still facing artifacts eventhough you have project size set at low or subdivision at high, it's not because of render itself, its the poor quality map.  I'd strongly suggest you to create map with displacement plugin i.e. like crazy bumper, PixPlant and etc and export it into 24bit or higher. Or you could manually do it yourself by duplicate both image, You'd have blur the edge of white part (Height)   My render speed has reduced dramatically with project size set at 1px and 200 subdivs using 4000x4000 px resolution displacement map.  Again, its the map not  the settings.

I have similar situation to Yours. I only need to displace text and logo. Blurring image only changes shape of displaced object. The "sides" artifact are still there.
I'm using 5k map....

Tested with 10k map with slighty blurred edges, 400 sbdv and projected size 0,25 -1
Results are better but memory consumption rises to near 10gb :)
