I just noticed an "error" in the materials library ... under the fabric (and also in other groups as well, not all) there are normal map set to Embedded color profile...they must be linear

Hi. Are you referring to this? If so, it's not an error message. It's a note to users. These normal maps are loaded as linear. ;)

I think Blaž meant that some deeper embedded bitmaps have incorrect color profile, I can confirm this, e.g. for "Fabric Silk Damask" under Bump.

I'll report this internally.

Thanks,
Jan

Nice Update!

An possibility to search and download user made materials as Keyshot have in their renderer would make it even better

I think it's just the opposite of that. They made it even better.
What the corona approach to this feels like is inventing the wheel over and over. Own node system, own material library.

I don't think that the lib4d format has any future. The asset browser is better in many regards than the content browser, but I have no idea how open it will be for 3rd party develepers and their online contents.
I'll let myself surprise with that.

It's possible to access the internet via the content browser. Or at least, it used to be. I recall running a script that would open the content browser and Google (or similar) could be accessed. Where that script is now is anyone's guess ;)

Hi there!

There is any workaround / script to change all the tex links from the Corona Material Library from Absolute to Relative path?
Reason Im asking this is because I usually work in Mac and Win and have all the assets and tex in a server. Therefore using the Material Library will miss the tex when switching.

Great work,
Best

Not seeing the Material Library Installer in the Mac version. It's in the dropdown menu, but the installer does not have the package for the materials or an option to install in Custom.

Never mind, it is a separate download and install.

Just been checking and converting my materials today and was looking into the material library here. I downloaded the "official" shaderball scene from the resources site here made by CHAOS. This one looks like the one used to render the previews in the library.

One thing bothering me is the UVs in the downloaded scene. They seem to be wrong or broken even on the ball not to mention the cloth part.

Can we by an chance get the scene used to render the previews? Would be great to have. Thanks in advance.

Love that we finally got a material library. Also a great learning resource. I was rather amused when I looked in the Roads section only to find pavers you might find in the driveway of a member of a royal family. I was expecting to see a few versions of asphalt, road lines, cracks, etc.
