By the way, I set up a procedural bokeh, for anyone wanting to follow the link of the material.

Strange thing... I wanted to test this colourful bokeh thing, and it works, but only sometimes... Actually it worked only one time and I can't get it working now.
After I reset scene and loaded it again, I once again managed to make it work only once.

Was just about to post this very issue! strange indeed, I tried rendering the procedural to a jpg but that didn't solve it.

Can you post simple result of custom bokeh shape working, maru? It seems i cannot make it to reasonably work at all. Be it bitmap or procedural. I reverted back to A5 out of curiosity and it still doesn't work. I must do something wrong.

Here. It works. But I had some problems, especially when loading bitmap bokeh. I had to set resolution to something different (just randomly spinned the spinner) and back to 500 to make it work. There is definitely some problem with this.

btw, max 2014

Thanks, maru. I'll try to play with all available spinners, because all i get, is rectangle shaped bokeh, no matter what.
Is that behaviour reported as bug allready?

Edit: nope, nothing helps for custom bokeh shapes on my pc. I have to wait for fix, i guess. Luckily, i'm not a big fan of fancy bokeh, anyway :]

I haven't reported it anywhere yet.
Tried restarting max?
Are you using A6?

Yeas, i did. In fact, i tried everything that was suggested in this tread - nothing helps.
I'm using latest build now, but i've tried A6 as well as A5.
