So finally got the hang of this thing after my first tries a while back using really bad hdri's and not much experience in Corona, still a newbie but hey.

Thanks

Had another go at this as the previous ones lacked detail and was rather dark. so rendered out another using a HDRI image rather than corona sun, then combined it. really seeing the detail now on my scene. still not at all mastered this renderer yet and feel much more comfortable in Vray as I've been using it for years, it'll come though with more practice trying stuff out :)

the second image is the pure HDRI image with some contrast tweaks in PS.

A little yep , i didn't want to make it to clear not in the first shot any how. had toyed with it in Photoshop but being slight washed out felt at little better. for the final shot i might go half way though and bring it up a little.  Thanks for you comment though very good of you mate and yes there are a lot of arch vis folk on this forum but i can't blame them as Corona is a great renderer and show off reflections beautifully.

On the contrast note I've been meaning to post and idea in the features request section . hopefully in a few days when i get some time i'll draw it up.

Revisiting an old friend. Along time ago in 2006 i made this station and rendered it in Vray ( the originals can be seen on my website www.innerrealm.co.uk),  so i decided to remake it and re sculpt allot of it in ZB and render it in Corona as a way of exploring Coronas capabilities.  so here is the result.  there is still much i can do to these and there not perfect in the least but its a step up from the old ones for sure.  i'll be making some more renders as soon as i can find time.

Cheers guys

ah ok just saw that yeah thx will +1 to that :) must say i'm mighty impressed with Corona as it is anything extra is a bonus.

So far the things i keep going back to Vray for are the SSS shader and better control over lights.  focusing lights, a spot light for instance i find quite difficult to achieve in Corona
pointing the rays in the same direction is somewhat tricky and the results haven't for me came out quite that well.  i confess i do need to spend more time on it. but for me those are the things that i would love to see. FOG, SSS and better lighting control

great stuff though :)

i would love to see FOG added to the list, doing a scene in ancient ruins at the moment and fog would be a great addition to this. unless anyone knows how i set this up? tried adding it in the environment roll-out seemed to do nothing.
